Work Samples

Below is a selection of work samples, from simple writing examples to social campaigns to planning exercises and strategies.

Client/Organization: Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society

About the organization: A local, volunteer-run, non-profit society that holds various events throughout the year.

Role: As a volunteer for the society for almost 18 years, Judy wears many hats, including on the board of directors and all things web related. Below are excerpts from a promotional campaign for the annual April Tools Wooden Boat Challenge community event.

Campaign summary:

  • Goals: Drum up excitement early on to recruit teams to participate. Continue team recruitment for 2-3 months and inform/remind the community about the event. As the event approaches, do a final call for teams and remind the local and wider community of dates and details.

  • Target audiences:

    • Teams, including past participants and potential new teams. Pump up the rivalry among returning teams and entice new challengers to try their skills.

    • Spectators: Pender Harbour area as well as the wider Sunshine Coast. Promote the family friendliness of the event, the excitement of the friendly rivalry, and the overall fun day out.

  • Tasks: Update the website multiple times throughout the campaign months, create (write, simple graphics, simple video) website and social posts and newsletters
